6ix City Logistics is a new, independent delivery service partner, serving Amazon Prime customers from Amazon's facility at 600 Tesma Way, Vaughan, ON., L4K5C2. As a Delivery Associate (DA), you will deliver packages to homes, retail and other delivery locations. In this position, you will play a key role in keeping our commitment to exceed clients’ expectations and make sure all the orders, large or small, are delivered on time at the right place. General Responsibilities: Delivery Associates/Drivers drive a delivery van to drop off Amazon packages to customers within their community Plan on working about 3-5 days a week on a part time position (weekends and holidays included) Typical working day is 7 to 9 hours Conduct a start & end of day vehicle inspection Follow strict safety standards on and off the road Use handheld technology to manage the delivery process and solve obstacles Ensure delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition at all times Maintain a clean and damage free van May assist in training other team members and help coworkers Follow Amazon designated safety protocol and procedures Work Environment: Drives a delivery Amazon branded high roof van up to 10,000 pounds to many customer residences and businesses, climbs in and out of van, and walks up and down stairs as required to deliver packages according to established procedures in all weather conditions Flexibility is key; routes may vary and may be delayed due to traffic from on road congestion, construction or other factors Set core schedule, but there may be adjustments including additional hours and potential schedule changes depending on time of the year, peak seasons and other factors.
