Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced Director, Human Resources to join their team. This role is ideal for a strategic HR leader with extensive experience in federally regulated financial institutions. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing expertise in employee relations, engagement, talent planning, and development. This role is crucial to driving business growth through people strategy, policy development, and compliance with Canadian HR regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing expert HR guidance on workforce planning, talent development, and organizational design.
Lead key HR processes, including performance management, succession planning, compensation reviews, and diversity initiatives.
Collaborate with finance, legal, risk management, and compliance teams to align HR strategy with business objectives.
Utilize HR analytics to provide insights and recommendations that drive retention, engagement, and overall employee satisfaction.
Oversee and mentor a team of HR professionals, ensuring effective execution of HR programs and policies.
Maintain compliance with Canadian labor laws, HR regulations, and industry best practices.
Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives to foster a high-performance workplace.

Qualifications \& Experience:

10-15 years of progressive HR experience in a financial institution, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
CHRP designation required; CHRL or other advanced HR certifications are an asset.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across business functions.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
