Association for New Canadians is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to the provision of settlement and integration services for immigrants and refugees. Job Title: Operations Officer Location: St. John’s, NL Position Type: 1 full-time position until March 31, 2026, with possibility of extension pending budget availability and satisfactory performance Closing date: Until filled Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, the Operations Officer supports the day-to-day operational and administrative support across the ANC programs and regional sites, including data tracking, asset management, procurement coordination, and cost reconciliation. This role also involves maintaining inventory and logistics dashboards and ensures compliance with SOPs and helps facilitate smooth service delivery and event logistics. Roles and Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support including data/statistical capture, cost tracking, asset management, and procurement coordination across multiple ANC programs and regional sites Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in compliance with organizational and funder procurement policies Plan and coordinate the acquisition and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies while balancing cost, quality, and urgency Develop and maintain operational tracking tools, including Excel-based dashboards for equipment inventory, expense reconciliation, and logistics planning Act as liaison between operations, program teams, and finance to ensure smooth information flow and resolution of service delivery issues Coordinate logistics, technology setup, facility access, and workspace arrangements for mobile and community-based team activities Maintain digital and physical filing systems for operational records including contracts, invoices, and vendor communications Support community event logistics, including travel arrangements, communications, and on-site operational support Assist in coordinating emergency response logistics including housing and food supplies during sudden client influxes Support implementation of SOPs and operational policies by tracking compliance, maintaining documentation, and assisting with internal audits Work directly with the Operations Coordinator and Director of Operations on special projects and organizational process improvement initiatives Qualifications and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, and up to 1-year Operations/Administrative experience considered an asset Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Possess knowledge of data collection and spreadsheet generation Proficient in the use of MS 365 Conditions of Employment: Legal authorization to work in Canada Flexible to work outside of core hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm) Ability to work on-site is required Valid class 5 NL driver’s license and daily access to a reliable vehicle Position is subject to a satisfactory Criminal Record Screening and Vulnerable Sector Check from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary How to Apply Please upload a cover letter and resume as one PDF or MS Word document to https://associationfornewcanadians.bamboohr.com/careers/228 Association for New Canadians is committed to the advancement of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
