I am a Talent Attracting Analyst looking for people located in Canada, as fluent Canadian French Copywriter/Translator to support a high-impact client project in the automotive industry. This is a contractor position focused on ensuring that all content is accurately translated and adapted for a Canadian French-speaking audience, preserving the intended tone, clarity, and brand voice. The Canadian French Copywriter/Translator will be responsible for translating and adapting English content into Canadian French for a range of marketing, digital, and customer-facing materials. This role requires more than just translation - it demands cultural sensitivity, copywriting ability, and attention to detail to ensure that the final content feels natural and engaging for a Canadian French-speaking audience. This contractor will work closely with project managers, designers, and content leads to ensure that the messaging is not only linguistically accurate but also emotionally resonant and aligned with the brand’s strategy and goals. Responsibilities: Translate and adapt content from English to Canadian French, ensuring tone, nuance, and cultural appropriateness. Write original Canadian French copy when necessary, based on briefs or English source content. Collaborate with the content and creative teams to ensure alignment on tone, voice, and messaging across all deliverables. Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure high-quality and error-free output. Maintain brand consistency across multiple assets and channels. Provide cultural and linguistic guidance to the broader team when needed. Meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks with efficiency and accuracy. Requirements for this challenge: Native-level fluency in Canadian French and full professional proficiency in English. Proven experience in copywriting and translation (3+ years minimum), preferably for marketing, advertising, or digital content. Strong attention to detail and exceptional grammar and spelling skills. Ability to adapt content for regional nuances and cultural context. Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and managing deadlines. Experience working in cross-functional teams and interpreting briefs with limited supervision. Familiarity with localization best practices and digital content standards.
