Annual Salary: $53,001.00 - $56,745.00 Hourly: $27.18 - $29.10 Department: Development Services, Public Safety Division: Infrastructure Management FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Description: This role will be an important part of preserving and managing our City’s infrastructure. From the historic Downtown to new developments, you and the rest of our team will share responsibility for managing all aspects of our City’s stormwater. Examples of Duties: Complete and document stormwater inspections for construction projects throughout the City. Complete and document construction and post-construction inspection of infrastructure (roads, pipes, channels, ponds, etc.). Assist the Stormwater Program Manager with all aspects and duties related to the implementation and management of the City’s MS4 Program. Assist with creating, coordinating, and presenting stormwater management educational materials and programs to citizens and City employees. Coordinate with government agencies for interagency enforcement of stormwater management requirements associated with the City’s permit. Receive, document, investigate and follow up with stormwater management concerns reported to the City. Review, document, and forward stormwater utility fee credit applications for approval. Measure and verify parcels for new stormwater utility fee accounts. Maintain databases and files and generate reports in support of the Stormwater Management Program. Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: HS/GED with 3 years of experience, or an Associate’s Degree (AA/AS) in Engineering or related field with 1 year of experience. Related experience includes taking engineering measurements and reading engineering drawings. Must be able to pass exam for Certified Erosion Prevention & Sediment Control Inspector Program within 6 months of hire. Valid state issued driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications: Stormwater management experience with a municipality. Experience in stormwater inspection. Experience in civil site construction inspection. Other Necessary Requirements: In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs. May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
