POSITION:
D&H Group LLP is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to join our growing team of professionals. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong assurance and client management experience who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to take the next step in their career with a mid-sized public accounting firm.
As an Assurance Manager, you will lead engagement teams and manage a diverse client portfolio. You will work closely with partners to deliver high-quality assurance and advisory services while mentoring and developing junior team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage assurance engagements, including audit and review engagements
Review financial statements and related disclosures to ensure compliance with ASPE, ASNPO and IFRS
Oversee and review tax filing requirements and considerations that impact the results of the audit and review engagements
Manage multiple client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business needs
Oversee the work of staff and senior accountants, providing guidance, coaching, and formal performance feedback
Ensure engagement deliverables are completed on time and in accordance with firm and professional standards
Participate in the development of firm policies and internal processes to improve service delivery and efficiency
Lead technical training sessions and contribute to the professional development of team members
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
CPA designation in good standing
Minimum 4 years of experience with a focus on assurance services
Proven leadership experience in managing audit/review teams and engagements
Strong technical knowledge of ASPE and IFRS
Working knowledge of Canadian income tax compliance for corporations and individuals
Proficiency in assurance and tax software, including CaseWare, Taxprep, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
