Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Support daily accounts payable operations, including but not limited to sorting incoming emails and mail, enter and upload of invoices to electronic storage location, routing of approval and coding of invoices, expense reports and other payment requests. Ensure compliance with standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system. Support reconciliation of vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies. Assist with monthly financial close, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis on actual versus expected results. Cross-training and support for other accounting roles within the department. Support other office activities such as management of office supplies, building access and first point of contact for visitors and distribution of incoming mail. Other duties and special projects, as assigned Qualifications Work environment In Office, Monday through Friday Physical demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Required education and experience High School Diploma or GED 1-3 Years of relevant experience in general accounting and accounts payable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Business Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Ability to work and problem solve independently Preferred education and experience Associate Degree in Accounting or Equivalent Experience in working with a manufacturing company A competitive salary is commensurate with experience.
