Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Financial Accountant to join our team on a 1-year contract to provide maternity leave coverage. This role is integral to maintaining the continuity of our financial operations—including reporting, compliance, and strategic support. While this is a fixed-term position, there is strong potential for it to become permanent as FulcrumAir continues its exponential growth, both locally and internationally. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a fast-growing, forward-thinking company.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including notes and disclosures; act as the primary liaison with external auditors/reviewers. Perform Accounts Receivable functions: invoicing and collections. Oversee the Accounts Payable process, including bill posting/payment and ensuring adequate bank funding. Manage GST/sales tax filings for both Canada and the United States. Support budget preparation and perform variance analysis. Reconcile general ledger accounts including capital assets, depreciation, prepayments, and intercompany accounts. Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations. Execute ad hoc projects as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting with GAAP/IFRS standards and consolidations. University degree in Accounting; CPA designation (completed or in progress) preferred. Proficient in QuickBooks, Expensify, Joiin, or similar ERP/accounting software. Strong command of MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent time management, communication skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
