Painter / Maintenance Attendant Department: Property Operations Schedule: As operations require, including weekends and statutory holidays Part of this role includes participation in our On-Call Program About the Role As a Painter and Maintenance Attendant at Pacific Sands, you’ll help keep our resort looking its best—inside and out. From fresh coats of paint to small repairs, your work plays a big part in creating a welcoming and well-cared-for environment for our guests and staff. You’ll join a dedicated Property Operations team that takes pride in maintaining our beautiful oceanfront property and ensuring everything runs smoothly. What You’ll Do Deliver friendly, 5-star service when interacting with guests and staff Prepare, paint, stain, and finish surfaces to keep facilities in top shape Mix and match paints to ensure seamless finishes Complete routine inspections and touch-ups in guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior areas Assist with light maintenance (drywall patching, tile replacement, hardware adjustments, caulking, etc.) Respond to service requests quickly and professionally Maintain safe storage of paints, tools, and equipment Work with Guest Services and Housekeeping to minimize disruptions during projects Take part in the resort’s on-call program as needed Support other property operations tasks and special projects as assigned What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a painter; hospitality or resort experience is an asset Knowledge of painting techniques, surface prep, and safety practices Basic skills in general maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, or electrical are a plus) Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Valid driver’s license required Physically fit and able to lift moderate weight, climb stairs, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods Why You’ll Love Working Here Spacious, subsidized staff accommodation available Lifestyle Spending Account (after probation) Extended Health & Dental (after 1 year) RRSP plan (after 2 years) Monthly meal days & seasonal team events Weekly, monthly, and yearly recognition programs Opportunities to grow within the resort A supportive, energetic team that values your skills and contributions If you take pride in your craft and want to be part of a team that keeps a world-class resort looking beautiful, we’d love to hear from you!
