Scotia Harvest Inc is a vertically integrated groundfish and scallop harvesting and groundfish processing facility located at 12358 Highway 217, Seabrook, Nova Scotia in a state of the art 46,000 square foot processing facility. Term: Extended Maternity Leave Coverage Expected End Date: April 30, 2027 Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (occasional flexibility as needed) We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable AR/AP Clerk to join our administrative team and support the financial health of the organization. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of both receivables and payables and is ideal for a motivated individual with a knack for numbers and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities: Process and record accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions. Reconcile vendor and customer accounts. Follow up on outstanding receivables and manage collections. Prepare manual cheques, process and record bank deposits, and apply manual cheque payments to client accounts. Prepare logistics paperwork for shipments and deliveries. Send invoices to clients via email, fax, or mail. Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner. Assist with month-end close activities and general ledger reconciliations. Support the finance and administration teams with additional tasks as required. Skills: Strong computer skills (Microsoft suite of tools) Accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion Good communication and interpersonal skills Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently Fast learner with a willingness to adapt to new processes Education: Secondary School Diploma (Needed) Post-Secondary Diploma (Recommended) Experience: Prior experience in accounts payable and/or receivable is an asset, but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate.
