Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, including costing, daily financial reporting, managing accounts payable, performing account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and supporting financial analysis and reporting processes. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting decision-making with relevant insights. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Key Responsibilities: 1. Costing & Inventory Accounting * Monitor and record cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory transactions. * Assist in standard cost updates and variance analysis. * Collaborate with operations and procurement for accurate product costing. 2. Daily Financial Reporting * Prepare and distribute daily financial reports on sales, cash flow, and key metrics. * Identify trends and anomalies in financial data for management review. 3. Accounts Payable * Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments. * Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts (3-way match). * Address supplier queries and resolve discrepancies. 4. Account Reconciliations * Perform monthly bank, vendor, and balance sheet account reconciliations. * Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly. 5. Journal Entries & General Ledger * Prepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entries. * Maintain and review the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. 6. Financial Analysis & Reporting * Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. * Assist in budget vs. actual analysis and provide variance explanations. * Contribute to financial statement preparation and audits. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * CPA or equivalent qualification (preferred but not required). * 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or product-based environment. * Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS). * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Excel. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. * High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What We Offer: * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunities for growth and professional development * A collaborative and supportive work environment Qualifications Preferences Supervisory experience
