What Our Sous Chefs Do

Our Sous Chefs are skilled chefs who combine their culinary ability with management skills. They oversee our Food \& Beverage program, ensure high standards, and manage their kitchens efficiently.

A Day in the Life of a Sous Chef

Adhere to the company's F\&B menu and purchasing programs
Maintain budgeted revenue, costs, and operating cash flow related to food operations; review profit \& loss statements and adjust as needed
Coordinate with the Operations team and Sales staff during banquet functions, supervising food preparation, service, and clean-up
Estimate food consumption, make purchases, and schedule staff to meet business needs
Collaborate with the KM/Chef or General Manager to address disciplinary issues and foster teamwork
Ensure product quality, freshness, presentation, and oversee food preparation and storage
Assist with kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with DOH regulations through sanitation audits
Maintain a clean, safe environment at all times
Report critical issues to the General Manager promptly

What It Takes

1-3 years of kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume settings such as retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurants
Experience with catering and special event food presentation is desirable
Relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Current ServSafe certification required
