Provide nursing services within defined scope of practice.  Monitor the building to ensure the security and safety of clients, staff and guests; and take appropriate action in an emergency situation.  RPNs must also be available for rotating days and nights, 12 hour shifts Requirements: * Completion of a vocational, college or other approved program for licensed practical nurses and registration with a regulatory body required.   * Must have successfully completed the Canadian Practical Nurses Registration Examination and possess a current Registered Nursing Certificate of Competence for the Province of Ontario. * Knowledge of Behaviour Strategies is an asset.  * Experience as an RPN working with persons with a disability and the senior population is an asset.  * Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.  * Must demonstrate the ability to use tact and discretion and display professionalism at all times; demonstrate sound judgement and flexibility and be able to solve problems effectively.  * Certification in health and safety and first aid is considered an asset.  * Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job such as lifting and transferring of residents.   Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent We are currently hiring to fill an existing/new position on our team.
