Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Medical Office Administrator at Ottawa River Walk-In Clinic in Kitchener, ON. The Medical Office Administrator will be responsible for phone etiquette, medical office tasks, receptionist duties, administrative assistance, and office administration on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, providing accurate information to patients.
Maintain and update patient records using the Juno EMR system.
Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, billing, and managing correspondence.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic calendar efficiently.
Coordinate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure a seamless workflow.
Greet and check-in patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Qualifications and Skills:

Background in healthcare or medical administration is preferred.
Experience with Juno EMR system is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong command of the English language.
Professional and compassionate attitude toward patients and coworkers.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Administrative Assistance and Office Administration skills
Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
