Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced climber to join our growing team of tree care professionals. This is a chance to refine your skills, work with high-level equipment, and continue building a career in arboriculture. An Arborist Climber at Vista Tree Management is:
Confident in pruning and removal techniques using modern climbing and rigging systems
Applies arboricultural and safety best practices at all times
Focused on personal improvement and developing technical skill
Comfortable working aloft on a daily basis and in a range of weather conditions
A respectful, communicative team member who values clear direction and strong coordination
Reliable, punctual, and motivated to contribute to a cohesive, professional crew
You should have:
3+ years of professional tree climbing experience
A solid understanding of arboricultural best practices and safe work procedures
Comfort using ropes, climbing systems, rigging gear, chainsaws aloft and chippers
A G license (Class D is an asset) with a clean abstract
Physical ability to work outdoors in all conditions and perform demanding tasks
Bonus if you also have:
Chainsaw certificate, Working at Heights, Standard First Aid and CPR C
ISA or Skilled Trades Ontario certification (or working toward it)
Formal training in arboriculture, forestry, or a related field
A G license (Class D is an asset) with a clean abstract

Work Details:
Based out of our east-end Toronto yard (TTC accessible; closest station: Warden)
35–50 hours per week, Monday–Friday (7:00am start time)
Work on residential and commercial sites throughout the City of Toronto
All work is outdoors in a variety of weather and site conditions
