About This Team
lululemon’s technology spend and portfolio has become increasingly complex and global – as a result, it has become critical to strengthen controls, increase visibility into spend, and give lululemon better oversight and influence on vendors. The Tech Vendor Management Office (TVMO) is a dedicated team that seeks to effectively manage technology vendor relationships and introduce appropriate control points within the vendor lifecycle to optimize vendor spend and maximize value from our technology vendors.
Role Summary
A day in the life:
This role leads the end-to-end vendor management process, encompassing vendor selection, onboarding, contract management and performance evaluation, for adverse portfolio of vendors, including software, hardware, and professional services. The Manager - Vendor Data & Process Management is responsible for optimizing vendor relationships and performance to drive operational efficiency, cost savings, and strategic alignment. This involves leading a team, developing data-driven insights through dashboards, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure vendor processes meet evolving business needs. The role requires a strong understanding of vendor lifecycle management, data analysis, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire vendor lifecycle for software, hardware, and professional services, ensuring seamless operations from initial selection through contract execution, performance monitoring, and offboarding.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of process managers responsible for global vendor selection, onboarding, contract management, and performance management. This includes setting team goals, providing performance feedback, and fostering professional development.
- Data-Driven Insights: Drive the dashboard strategy to deliver actionable insights to leadership regarding vendor performance, spend, risk, and other key metrics. This includes identifying relevant data points, developing reporting mechanisms, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Operational Excellence: Identify and eliminate obstacles to operational success within the vendor management process. This includes streamlining workflows, automating processes, and implementing best practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain open and proactive communication with internal stakeholders to understand evolving business needs and adjust vendor management processes accordingly. This involves building strong relationships and collaborating effectively across departments.
- Strategic Alignment: Conduct annual vendor segmentation reviews to optimize vendor tiers and ensure alignment with strategic goals. This includes analyzing vendor performance, spend, and risk to determine appropriate tiering and relationship management strategies.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve vendor management processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. This includes staying abreast of industry best practices and implementing innovative solutions.
- Financial Management : Analyze vendor spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and lead their execution.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a management role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in vendor management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address challenges effectively.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial principles and budgeting, with the ability to analyze vendor spend and identify cost savings opportunities.
Compensation And Benefits Package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from
$ 107,500- 134,400 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings , subject to program eligibility requirements.
