Our client, a leading manufacturer in Markham, ON, is seeking a full-time permanent Human Resources Manager to provide HR leadership and support across key areas, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll, compensation, and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide recruitment support, manage the selection process, and ensure accurate job descriptions.
- Advise and support managers on employee relations, employment law, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with performance management and talent reviews, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee onboarding, including HRIS updates, insurance, benefits, and training.
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage employee movements such as transfers, promotions, and resignations.
- Provide payroll verification, including salaries, bonuses, and tax deductions.
- Support benefits administration, including insurance enrolment and PTO management.
- Coordinate compensation planning, including salary adjustments, promotions, and market alignment.
- Partner with internal teams to support HR initiatives and resolve issues as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist in a progressive manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and Canadian benefits administration.
- Knowledge of Ontario HR regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 and HRIS systems.
- Leadership skills and the ability to resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Strong business acumen and ability to execute HR and business strategies.
- US employment law knowledge is an asset.
Education \& Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP or CHRL).
Compensation:
- Salary range $125,000-$145,000 per year (based on experience) plus 10% bonus
