Job Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Water Treatment Sales Manager in the Greater Toronto Area to lead and expand our sales team. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new business opportunities, managing a growing sales team, and managing key client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in water treatment solutions, strategic sales capabilities, and a proven track record of sales success in the industry. The successful candidate will report to a District or Area Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market expansion. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in industrial and commercial markets (Food \& Beverage, Manufacturing, Major Office Buildings). Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
- Sales Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to drive performance and customer satisfaction. Provide sales coaching, training, and performance reviews with the sales team. Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to develop customized water treatment solutions for clients. Monitor competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
- Financial Oversight: Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to senior management.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute meaningfully to our client collaborative and team-oriented culture.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a technical field at a minimum.
Basic Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and fundamental water chemistry.
- Experience in the industry as an operator, supplier, or consultant is an asset.
- 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in chemical-related industries.
- Ability to lead and inspire a sales team to achieve goals.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in analytical problem-solving and economic thinking.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Excellent communication, customer focus, and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
Location: Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions
Travel: Minimal 10%
