The Role
The Role
As an experienced Family Law Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our legal team with all aspects of case management. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing family law cases from initiation to resolution, ensuring accurate and timely filing of legal documents and court submissions.
- Conducting legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law to support attorneys in crafting compelling legal arguments.
- Drafting, reviewing, and preparing pleadings, motions, agreements, and correspondence with exceptional attention to detail.
- Liaising with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
- Assisting attorneys during court proceedings, including hearings and trials, to ensure seamless case execution.
- Maintaining organized case files, tracking deadlines, and proactively managing the legal calendar to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborating with attorneys, fellow paralegals, and support staff to enhance workflow and case strategy execution.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who possess:
- A Paralegal Certification or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in family law.
- Strong knowledge of family law procedures, regulations, and court processes.
- Excellent legal research and document drafting skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong client relationships.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Proficiency in legal case management software and tools.
