About the Role
- Work with the company financial and cornerstone systems and processes
- Apply financial terminology, measures, financial data analysis concepts and principles in assignments
- Recognize processes/project actions that may lead to project financial impact
- Develop and maintain WBS for small projects
- Assist in the use of drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data
- Begin basic analysis of cost and schedule variances
- Develop knowledge of accounting principles
- Assist in assembling data for trending and forecasting
- Understand progress/performance data and associated concepts and principles.
- Participate in the collection of progress data and review of performance trends
- Collect data and produce an initial analysis on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations
- Collect and analyze data for tracking actual cost to funding limitations
- Provide support to tracking purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures
- Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles
- Introduced to performance management and cost/schedule integration concepts and principles
- Support project reporting process as required
- May participate in project cost review meetings
Qualifications / Experience:
- High School Diploma and 1-3 years of relevant experience (preferably within Construction or Oil \&Gas) or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Financial Administration background preferred`
- Familiarity with earned value, scope control and change management concepts, principles and methodologies
- Project Controls systems experience is an asset.
- Experience with MS Office Suite, MS Teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to collaborate effectively with others.
- Familiar with ERP systems and data management
- Comply with standard pre-employment DISA background check, hair follicle, and 10 panel drug screen.
- Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in indoor and outdoor environments with uneven terrain
- Ability to work in variable environmental conditions include heat, dust, noise, and chemicals
- Ability to conduct field work and wearing associated personal protective equipment, including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses/googles, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, and hearing protection
