- Leading, coaching, and developing HR Associates responsible for a full range of transactional HR accountabilities ensuring compliance with hospital policies, collective agreements and benefit/pension plans as well as accuracy of entry into the applicable HR systems.
- Leading, coaching, and developing Recruitment Advisors with a clear focus on results and talent development.
- Develop and implement recruitment programs and processes that promote an inclusive culture of diverse talent while delivering quality, compassionate healthcare services to our communities.
- Provide specialist and technical expertise in relation to sourcing strategies, recruitment models, retention strategies, best practice recruitment and sourcing tools and technology.
- Provide expertise in a variety of topics such as benefit plans, pension administration, leaves of absence, employee perks/services, and other HR policies and procedures applicable to our people.
- Accountable for accurate and timely reporting through the coordination of data, information and statistical analysis in collaboration with organizational partners.
- Addressing complex issues that arise across the teams and working closely with other leaders across HR and the broader organization to ensure resolution.
- Lead continuous process improvement opportunities and consider opportunities for further efficiency through the use of new and existing systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour legislation by implementing required changes to policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and HR Advisors to understand future hiring needs
- Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
- Minimum 7-10 years' progressive experience in human resources with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare environment
- Completed university degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
- CHRP or CHRL with HRPAO registration an asset
- Strong leadership skills supporting and developing a team of HR professionals
- Strong technical experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other HR Information Systems
- Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze data and provide solutions
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with standards and practices, including applicable employment legislation
- Solid understanding of unionized environments (preferably healthcare) including administration of multiple Collective Agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to build a position as a trusted advisor, working in a collaborative manner and consultative approach
- Demonstrated success in leading projects/initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
