What You'll Be Doing
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to achieve sales targets, increase revenue, and expand the customer base in the wholesale telecommunications sector.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, including carriers, service providers, and partners.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, ensuring a healthy pipeline of prospects and driving the closing of high-value deals.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead the negotiation of pricing, terms, and conditions for wholesale telecommunications services and contracts.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other teams, including marketing, technical, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of services and satisfaction for wholesale clients.
- Budget and Forecasting: Manage sales budgets, forecast revenue, and track performance to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Reporting \& Analysis: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales performance, forecasts, market trends, and competitor activity.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing coaching, training, and support to drive team success.
- Problem Resolution: Address any issues or challenges that arise during the sales process, ensuring smooth transactions and client satisfaction.
What You Will Bring
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in wholesale telecommunications sales or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Sales Expertise: Strong background in sales strategy, business development, and relationship management in the telecommunications or technology industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of telecommunications services (voice, data, fiber, cloud, etc.) and wholesale market dynamics.
- Negotiation Skills: Proficient in negotiating complex contracts and high-value deals with major clients.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends to inform decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and communicate at all levels of an organization.
- Customer-Centric: A deep commitment to providing exceptional service and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Telecommunications, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of wholesale telecom pricing models and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Experience with CRM tools and sales forecasting systems.
- Ability to travel as required for client meetings and events.
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based, with the flexibility for remote work or travel to meet with clients.
- Occasional travel required for customer visits and industry events.
