Oversee daily financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Prepare, review, and present accurate, timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP (ASNPO) and applicable regulations.

Manage year-end audits and liaise with external auditors, ensuring smooth and successful financial reviews.

Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, tax filings, and donor restrictions specific to not-for-profit organizations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Lead the development, management, and ongoing monitoring of the annual budget.

Perform financial forecasting to support strategic planning and long-term organizational goals.

Analyze variances and trends, identifying risks and opportunities for improved financial performance.

Internal Controls and Process Optimization:

Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.

Continuously evaluate financial processes, identifying improvement opportunities to increase efficiency while reducing costs.

Ensure best practices in financial management within the unique context of a not-for-profit organization.

Supervise, mentor, and support the growth of the accounting team.

Requirements: Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred).
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, not-for-profit accounting principles, and fund accounting.
- Proven experience managing audits, maintaining compliance standards, and working with external auditors.
- Advanced proficiency with financial software systems
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a not-for-profit organization.
- Experience managing restricted funds and donor reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with government grant reporting and compliance is a plus.
