Role Description
This is a contract role for a Heavy Equipment Operator, located on-site in Timmins, ON. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of heavy machinery. Day-to-day tasks include operating various types of heavy equipment for excavation and construction tasks, performing regular equipment maintenance, and ensuring the safe and effective use of used equipment.
Qualifications
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, haul trucks, and compactors.
- Perform site preparation, road maintenance, trenching, and earthmoving tasks.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and machinery.
- Experience in excavation and construction activities.
- Skills in equipment maintenance and handling used equipment.
- Strong attention to safety protocols and regulations.
- Relevant certifications and licenses for heavy equipment operation.
- Surface Common Core is an asset.
- Physically fit to work in a demanding outdoor environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
