Job Description
What will you do?
- Responsible for the design and development of .NET applications, as well as the backend processes.
- Leads and guides cross-functional team to translate business requirements into flexible, scalable, maintainable, and extendable solutions to support business strategy.
- On a day-to-day basis, works closely with business partners, analysts, and developers to develop integrated solutions and to ensure successful completion of project objectives within budget, and on time.
- Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing.
What do you need to succeed? Must have:
- Strong programming experience in multi-tier applications based on Microsoft .NET technology stack including C#, VB.NET, MVC, Webforms, Web Services, REST API's and popular client-side technologies such as CSS, Javascript, HTML5, and bootstrap.
- Experience with .NET based server side technologies and creating/consuming from a REST backend.
- Experience with relational database programming (e.g. Sybase, SQL Server).
- Experience working within professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes and testing.
- Self-motivated -- driven to get results, takes initiative and needs minimum oversight.
Nice to have:
- Experience with IBMi (AS/400) environment in programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with IBMi DB2 database programming (SQL, Stored Procedures).
- Experience developing in CL and Java (development on windows with deployment to the IBMi).
- Experience with ACBS and LANSA development.
