Job Description
Main Duties:
The primary responsibilities of the role include:
- Lead other hotel employees to ensure compliance with corporate Safety \& Security standards.
- Direct the performance of the Safety \& Security staff and follow up with corrections and/or discipline where needed.
- Responsible for the discipline of officers, assisting in scheduling, officer reviews, and officer communiqués.
- Take a lead role in emergencies.
- Assign or delegate all specific works, projects, administrative duties, tasks, investigations, inspections, etc.
- Act as senior Safety \& Security representative in the absence of any superiors.
- When present at the scene of any medical emergency, act as a first responder, assess and render appropriate first aid and/or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, rescue breathing, Heimlich Maneuver, or other life-saving technique, and if necessary, request the dispatch of additional Emergency Services personnel, such as paramedics.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe environment, keeping the peace, and acting on any actual or potential violations of national or municipal laws, as well as hotel standards of conduct.
- Control the shift by assigning officers and guards to posts and managing their rotation.
- Responsible for initial investigation of all incidents in the absence of departmental leaders and alerting the Chief of Safety \& Security to all incidents.
Administration:
- Perform ad hoc on-the-job individual and team trainings to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
- Responsible for key control- metal and electronic master keys.
- Oversee the safety and security of functions and special events.
- Manage all other security-related activities and issues on shift.
Customer Service:
- Handle and resolve all guest queries and complaints efficiently and establish amicable relationships with all clients, customers, and guests of the hotel.
Financial:
- Ensure adherence to hotel, company, and local rules, policies, and regulations related to financial record keeping, money handling, and licensing, including timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
- Prevent losses and ensure departmental expenditure is controlled.
Operational:
- Complete and maintain full records of all activities on shift- Daily Log, Daily Roster, Overtime report, overnight checklists, incident reports, and any other documents as required by the Chief of Safety \& Security.
- Maintain good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
- Be understanding, supportive, encouraging, and helpful to all.
Personnel:
- Assist in conducting the Safety \& Security training program in support of the hotel's commitment to energizing the 'Esprit Accor'.
- Conduct daily trainings at department briefings/line-ups.
Other Duties:
- Perform all tasks as detailed in the daily task list.
- Participate in related project teams.
