Collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines, timezones, and across the company to to achieve the best outcomes for our users

Build the plans, rhythm, and support for your team to deliver its best work

Contribute to the broader Tax Engineering organization through technical leadership, process and tooling improvements

Lead, coach, retain, and recruit engineers on the team

Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe's engineering management team
Who you are Minimum requirements

* At least 5 years of experience managing teams that shipped high-quality products.

Successfully built and led great teams leading high impact areas.

Work effectively cross-functionally and are able to think rigorously, communicate effectively, and make or coordinate hard decisions and trade-offs.

Thrive with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility in an ambiguous environment.

Technical acumen and hands on experience at scale to drive clarity with staff engineers about architecture and technical strategic decisions.

Experience designing, delivering, and operating business critical services at scale.
