Our client in Toronto, ON is actively looking for an Junior Family Lawyer to join their team.
Position Description:
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
- Attend court hearings and assist senior lawyers in presenting cases.
- Support in negotiations and mediation sessions for case settlements.
- Assist in the preparation of family law cases, including gathering documents and evidence.
- Draft legal documents such as divorce petitions, custody agreements, and settlement proposals.
- Conduct research on family law statutes, case law, and legal precedents.
Skills \& Qualifications:
- Must have 1 to 6 years of experience working in family law, handling matters such as divorce, child custody, adoption, and domestic violence cases.
- Must be a qualified lawyer with a law degree and a valid bar title to practice law.
- Ability to conduct thorough research on family law issues, legal precedents, and case law.
