Director of Service Delivery(Community Mental Health)

Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the senior management team, the Director of Service Delivery ensures the operational success of Navera Community Connections' counselling services and community programs. This includes team leadership, program oversight, quality assurance, and evaluation.
Leading a team of program supervisors and admin support, the Director ensures program excellence, adapts services based on evaluation and community needs, and drives new program development. They assess funding alignment with organizational priorities and contribute to strategic planning and organizational direction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
- Responsible for the overall performance of the community programs and counselling services.
- Provides supervision, mentorship, and support to the program supervisors in their day-to-day supervision of their department staff.
- Creates an inclusive and collaborative culture within the teams and ensure staff have the knowledge, skills, training and resources they need to perform effectively as individuals and a team.
- Works closely with the Director of People and Culture in recruiting, onboarding, recognition, and performance management of staff.
- In collaboration with the Director of Finance and Operations, they have the fiscal responsibility of budgeting and operating within the program budgets.
- Manages and completes reporting for grants, proposals, and funding agreements.
Program Development
- Ensures a broad understanding of the external environment and positions Navera Community Connections to meet current and emerging client and community needs.
- Works closely with each department supervisor to identify potential opportunities to improve and/or broaden programs and services that are within the scope of our mission.
- Ensures the integration of meaningful measurements and evaluation into all programs and services.
- In collaboration with colleagues, researches and secures funding through grants, partnerships, and revenue-generating opportunities to support existing and new programs.
Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement
- Provides input into high-level strategic thinking and decisions of the senior management team.
- Involves program supervisors and teams in strategic thinking and work planning to ensure understanding and buy-in of strategic priorities and objectives.
- Networks and maintains meaningful relationships with funders, partners, and other community stakeholders, schools, agencies, and groups.
- Describes a clear and compelling vision of the future. Seeks opportunities to grow programs and services that fit into the mission and vision of Navera Community Connections.
- Serves on internal and external committees or projects that are involved in the areas of service that we provide or that further the mission of Navera Community Connections (i.e. Family Service Saskatchewan, etc.)
- Represents Navera Community Connections at public speaking engagements as appropriate.
- Works in cooperation and collaboration with other Saskatoon Community Service Village partners.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will meet as many of the following qualifications and competencies as possible. Please note that a combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Education \& Experience
- A master's degree in social work, psychology, or other human/social services related field.
- Certification with an accredited third-party professional association, such as Registered Social Worker (RSW) as appropriate.
- 3-5 years of extensive program and service development and implementation experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Experience in group facilitation or clinical service delivery to adults, children, youth, and families is an asset.
- Experience working in the non-profit, health care, or human services sector is an asset.
- Acceptable results from a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Skilled in fostering open communication and dialogue, listening effectively, and preparing clear written communication to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive and constructive interpersonal relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Applied knowledge of group dynamics and ability to lead and develop individuals and cross functional teams.
- Acts decisively and creatively, ensuring solutions align with the organization's vision and values while driving positive outcomes.
- Can demonstrate proven results from experience in securing agreements for programs as well as sound knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation practices.
- Has a broad knowledge and experience in program development, clinical service delivery, and evaluation.
- Subject-matter knowledge and experience rooted in theories and practices of individual and family therapy, parent education, groupwork dynamics, attachment theory, strength-based perspective, and trauma-informed practice.
- Demonstrated knowledge and lived or professional experience in working alongside newcomers, Indigenous peoples, 2SLGBTQ+ communities, and other equity-deserving groups.
- Results-orientated and outcome-based thinking.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High ethical and professional integrity.
Position Details
- This is a permanent full-time position of 35 hours per week
- Compensation dependent on education and experience, with an annual salary range of $75,000 to $90,000.
- Benefits include group health and dental benefits, 5% match group retirement savings plan, 4 weeks of paid vacation time, 10.5 days of paid sick time, paid professional membership dues, and meaningful training and professional development opportunities.
- This position is based at the Navera office in the Saskatoon Community Service Village. Some travel required to various partner and stakeholder locations in the Saskatoon and surrounding area. Mileage reimbursement as per policy.
