Role Overview
As an Investment Banking Associate, you will work closely with a team of senior bankers on a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M\&A), equity and debt financings, and restructuring advisory. You will be actively involved in deal execution, client presentations, and financial analysis, while also providing mentorship and oversight to Analysts and Interns. Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in a wide variety of transactions led by senior members of the Investment Banking team.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of client presentations related to capital markets, strategic advisory, and financing solutions.
- Develop and manage detailed financial models used for valuation and corporate finance analysis.
- Support deal origination and lead preparation of pitch books, proposals, and other marketing material.
- Participate in due diligence sessions.
- Perform detailed qualitative and quantitative analyses across a range of industries.
- Participate in client meetings.
- Contribute to recruiting, training, and mentoring for analysts and interns to foster a high-performance team environment.
- Complete a wide range of other analytical tasks as required.
Qualifications
- A minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or a related field.
- Strong technical foundation in corporate finance analysis, including knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements preparation, all facets of valuation work, and business combination and M\&A analysis.
- Exceptional financial modeling skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present high-quality client-facing materials.
- Highly developed organizational skills and project management skills with the capability of balancing multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated job commitment, as well as personal flexibility and adaptability required to meet firm and client needs.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment, while also taking initiative in independent tasks.
- Completion of, or enrollment as a CFA candidate is considered an asset.
- Experience with S\&P Capital IQ, SNL, Bloomberg, and FactSet is required.
