Our client, a financial institution, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join their legal team, supporting the review and negotiation of technology contracts for an initial 9 month contract. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all vendor and service agreements include the appropriate legal protections, terms, and clauses aligned with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring experience working in within a financial institution and possess a strong understanding of technology-related contract language.

Key Responsibilities:Review technology-related vendor and service agreements to ensure appropriate contractual clauses are included (e.g., data protection, cybersecurity, liability, termination, SLAs).

Assist legal counsel in identifying risks and making recommendations on proposed contractual language.

Support the contract negotiation process by preparing redlines and coordinating with internal stakeholders.

Maintain and organize contract templates, clause libraries, and legal documentation.

Liaise with procurement, risk, compliance, and business teams to align contract terms with enterprise policies.

Track and manage contract lifecycle activities and assist with reporting as needed.

Qualifications:Diploma or certification in Paralegal Studies or Law Clerk Program.

3+ years of experience as a Paralegal or Contract Specialist, ideally within a financial institution or large corporate legal department.

Familiarity with technology contracts, software licensing agreements, and cloud/SaaS terms.

Understanding of key legal clauses related to data security, privacy, intellectual property, and financial regulatory requirements.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
