Junior Insolvency LawyerNorth York$100-150KKey Responsibilities:Represent clients in secured and unsecured debt recovery cases. Provide legal guidance on security interests, including reviewing and vetting protections. Assist with receivership and insolvency proceedings.
Manage bankruptcy cases from initial filing to final discharge. Potential opportunities to handle a variety of commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, lease enforcement, employment disputes, injunctions, shareholder conflicts, real estate, and construction lien cases. Oversee commercial litigation files, including drafting legal documents, conducting examinations, arguing motions, engaging in dispute resolution, and representing clients at trial.
Key Qualifications:At least 2 years of experience in insolvency law and debt collection (commercial litigation experience is an asset but not required). Proven experience in debt recovery cases. Strong advocacy skills, including legal drafting, conducting examinations, and courtroom representation in contested matters.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships. Capable of working independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
