Custom Castings is actively seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who can work independently and in collaboration with others to keep our equipment running safely and efficiently --- with a strong emphasis on fabrication and welding.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of equipment, including:

CNC machines
-
Melting furnaces
-
Overhead cranes
-
Hydraulic systems and pneumatic tools

Casting machinery and auxiliary equipment

Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all critical systems and assets to minimize downtime.

Fabricate and install parts using advanced welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick); modify or create custom components as needed.

Conduct routine inspections, adjust machinery and document maintenance activities.

Respond to emergency breakdowns quickly and efficiently --- day or night, weekday or weekend, when required.

Interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and schematics to support repairs and upgrades.

Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and quality departments to maintain optimal production flow.

Assist in the design and execution of custom jigs, fixtures, safety guards, and machine upgrades.
Qualifications \& Skills Required:

Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright Certificate (or equivalent trade certification).

Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Extensive fabrication and welding skills are required (fitting, layout, structural modifications).

Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting pumps, valves, and cylinders.

Able to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and use precision measuring tools.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Must be physically able to lift heavy equipment and work in tight or elevated spaces.

Availability for night shifts and weekend work as needed.
