Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable MDRD Technician / Sterilization Specialist to join our growing surgical team. This is a crucial role responsible for ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared in accordance with infection control standards and CPSO OHPIP regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization of dental and medical instruments using appropriate methods and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including monitoring sterilizer performance.
- Prepare instruments for use in various procedures, ensuring they are properly cleaned and packaged.
- Assist in the inventory management of sterilized instruments and supplies.
- Collaborate with dental assistants, receptionists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow.
- Stay updated on best practices in sterilization techniques and medical terminology.
Qualifications:
- MDRD Certification from an accredited institution (required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a sterilization role in a surgical or clinical setting
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and sterilization standards
- Experience in a plastic surgery or private surgical clinic is an asset
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organization
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- CPR/BLS certification (preferred)hrough meticulous sterilization practices!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
