Key Responsibilities System Leadership \& Strategic Planning
- Provide expert clinical and strategic leadership in designing and implementing coordinated access for mental health and addictions services across Ontario.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive work plan aligned with provincial goals and evidence-based best practices.
- Lead the development, monitoring, and evaluation of quality and performance metrics.
- Define annual milestones and key performance indicators to drive system-level improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement \& Relationship Building
- Cultivate effective, collaborative relationships with clinical and administrative leaders, regional health partners, government agencies, and national stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for alignment and integration of strategies across MHACoE and Ontario Health.
- Act as a primary liaison and clinical spokesperson for coordinated access initiatives.
Change Management \& Quality Improvement
- Champion system change efforts and knowledge translation to support the implementation of coordinated access models.
- Guide change management processes, quality improvement initiatives, and dissemination of relevant clinical evidence.
- Promote stakeholder buy-in and clinical adoption through ongoing communication and support.
Policy Advisory \& System Monitoring
- Monitor system trends and respond to emerging issues requiring provincial attention.
- Provide clinical advice to Ontario Health, the Ministry of Health, and other relevant ministries as needed.
- Represent MHACoE in leadership councils, forums, and external engagements at provincial, national, and international levels.
Required Qualifications

Regulated health professional in good standing with the relevant Ontario governing body, such as:

Practicing Psychiatrist (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada)

Primary Care Physician (College of Family Physicians of Canada)

Demonstrated leadership in system-level mental health and addictions initiatives.

Deep understanding of Ontario's health care system, with a focus on equity, access, and service coordination.

Expertise in evidence-based practices, clinical performance measurement, and change leadership.

Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and consensus-building skills.

Experience with strategic advisory or policy development is an asset.
