Website Administrator (18-month Contract)

Key Accountabilities:
- Making minor changes to the websites, adding scripts and installing plugins
- Testing and implementing security updates to hosting platforms, CMS and plugins
- Creating and maintaining an index of websites, technical details, vendors, and owners
- Establish and implement a website standards policy in collaboration with IT Team members
- Conduct compliance and security audits to comply with AODA and other global standards set out in the website standards policy
- Consolidate existing websites and hosting to adhere to website standards policy
- Collaborate with IT Operations with various website infrastructure initiatives and adhere to Change Management policies
- Maintain a consistent level of security across hosting and website platforms in collaboration with the Cybersecurity team
- Monitor site security, investigate security alerts and escalate to appropriate team
- Manage hosting environments on platforms such as Microsoft Azure, SiteGround and other WordPress platforms.
- Generating reports and analytics relating to website traffic and activity
- Coordinating/managing new website launches
- Implement and manage automated backups, testing backup and restore points
- Integrate and manage payment gateways, including traditional and cryptocurrency solutions, on Shopify and other E-commerce platforms
- Implement and maintain Identity and Access Management, ensuring appropriate roles and permissions for websites, hosting and third-party services accounts
- Establish guidelines for third party access and ensure best practices are followed for design and change management
- Set up and maintain production and non-production environments to support website operations
- Oversee the renewal and management of licenses and API keys used in all websites.
- Monitor and manage website and hosting alerts and notifications to proactively address downtime risks, payment failures, and required updates
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Design, or 2+ years equivalent work experience
- Experience managing hosting providers: AWS, Azure, Siteground
- Experience administrating CMS platforms such as WordPress, SquareSpace, Shopify, Builder.io
- Basic web development experience: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, GitHub
- Vendor lifecycle management experience
- Experience working in an ITGC environment
- Website accessibility audits. AODA or WCAG 2.1
- REST web API experience is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
