DUTIES \& RESPONSIBILITIES
As a key contributor to CHAPO DESIGN's Luxury Residential division, your role will encompass the following responsibilities:
- Lead and execute innovative design concepts from concept through to construction, ensuring alignment with the project's vision, purpose, and design strategy.
- Develop and produce high-quality design documentation and drawing sets that are clear, comprehensive, and consistent across all project phases.
- Oversee multiple complex residential projects simultaneously, managing timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget execution.
- Provide advanced custom detailing and coordination to support accurate pricing, seamless construction, and exceptional design realization.
- Review and approve all millwork packages to maintain design integrity and construction precision.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, thoughtful presentations, and a proactive approach to managing expectations and requests.
- Demonstrate exceptional project management, time management, and organizational skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Maintain a proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic studio setting.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with luxury residential or multi-unit residential projects.
- Accustomed to working in a fast‐paced, high-volume environment
- Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills to work across multi-disciplinary teams, and with external clients, consultants, and suppliers.
- Exceptional design, time and priority management skills, resource management and organizational abilities.
- Innovative, curious, inspired and creative.
- Able to clearly express concepts in three dimensions through 3D modelling and freehand sketching.
- Strong comprehension of FF\&E.
Technical Skills:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp, Enscape
- Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Bluebeam
- Revit a plus
