Job Description \& Summary
A career within PwC Private will provide the opportunity to help private companies with a range of business advisory needs such as audit, tax compliance, and planning to help improve their operational efficiency. You'll have the opportunity to experience the entire business life cycle of a private company from inception to growth, maturity, and transition. Our team helps clients design and implement personal and customized service plans unique to privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals. You'll assist the team in focusing on key issues like wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture, and exit strategies.
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As an Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the preparation of Engagement Letters with acceleration centers
- Validation calls with tax authorities: installments, CDA balance, client proxies, etc.
- Extract and validate information on Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Québec tax online portal
- Assist with risk and quality management tasks in Salesforce, and set up clients and job codes in our management system, iPower
- Assist in the preparation of low-complexity memorandums describing the impact of transactions on financial statements and tax returns of entities involved in fiscal reorganization
- Assist in the calculation of the capital dividend account and preparation of required documents and forms for submission to taxation authorities
- Assist in the preparation, assembly, and transmission of various tax forms (T2057, T2054, T2027 and their provincial equivalents)
- Assist in the preparation, assembly, and transmission of tax information returns and tax returns (T5, T3, T1 and their provincial equivalents)
- Type, format, and edit standard and non-standard documents using MS Word, Excel, and Adobe (e.g., correspondence, reports, presentations)
- Organize and upload various client documents in the Global Office database and in our document management system, TAX CCM
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
- Solid understanding of MS Office, including strong Word and Excel skills
- Strong working knowledge of manipulating text and graphics in documents and some knowledge of working in PDF programs
- Maintain professional, digital, and technical knowledge using firm tools, attending training sessions, and establishing personal networks
- Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in the allocated time and meet deadlines
- Execute duties with significant attention to detail and maintain high quality standards
- Communicate regularly and professionally with internal colleagues and clients via email and phone to obtain and provide information regarding client files
- Fluency in English and French is required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues, and/or stakeholders
