What We Are Hiring
As a Restaurant Manager, you will be supporting the General Manager in overall restaurant operations, execution, management of staff, controllable profit plan achievement, guest count growth, and sales building activities. You will also be assisting in employee selection, retention, and continuous operational improvement. You will be reporting to the General Manager while assisting with the supervision of approximately 15-20 crew members.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and interpret financial and operational reports, analyze data, and develop solutions to ensure operating goals are achieved
- Assist the General Manager by overseeing assigned shifts; monitor brand standards execution and adherence by directing hourly staff to achieve guest service standards
- Develop and coach hourly employees on brand standards, internal policies and procedures, and other guest focused programs
- Work with the General Manager to attract, hire, onboard and retain the best hourly talent
- Help maintain compliance with Denny's Brand Standards, including all provincial, local and federal regulations
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to guest satisfaction and Denny's Core Values when interacting with others
- Perform other duties as required or assigned
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry; leadership/operations experience strongly preferred
- Effective communicator in English, both orally and in writing
- Agility to interpret and analyze financial statements
- Team player, collaborative and attentive
- Excellent guest service and people skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively
- Licensed to operate an automobile without restrictions and have reliable transportation
- Legally permitted to work in Canada
