Mentorship Program which includes but not limited to support for novice emergency nurses and new graduates.
Professional Development and Education Funding
Registered Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent education to practice at full scope.
Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Current BCLS.
Coronary Care 1 considered an asset.
Two (2) years' experience in emergency or acute medical/surgical nursing preferred.
Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of profession.
Membership in professional association specific to nursing service area.
Functions independently within scope of practice and three factor framework as outlined by the CNO.
Sound problem solving, communications (oral and written), conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Demonstrated commitment to the professional growth and development of self and others.
Demonstrated commitment to the concepts of Continuous Quality Improvement and Customer Service.
Ability to learn about, from and with other members of the patient care team to foster a strong interprofessional model of care.
