Position Summary:

- Candidate must have a demonstrated interest in crypto, blockchain, and AI.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Research \& Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive fundamental and technical research on cryptoassets, crypto-related public equities, and AI companies globally.
- Perform financial modelling, discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, and valuation of equities and cryptoassets.
- Analyze global macroeconomic trends, crypto market cycles, and geopolitical events that influence the market for these emerging technologies.
Portfolio Management Support
- Provide timely investment ideas and actionable recommendations to optimize fund performance.
- Monitor existing investments, track performance, and identify key risks and opportunities.
- Develop sector and company reports for internal presentations and investment committee discussions, and marketing.
Market Monitoring \& Reporting
- Stay current on crypto markets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and related equities.
- Collect, analyze, and present data on relevant market trends and investment opportunities.
- Prepare periodic fund performance reports and investor presentations.
- Maintain and update internal databases and investment research tools.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the investment team and other analysts to align strategies with fund objectives.
- Collaborate with external analysts, brokers, and industry contacts to stay informed of developments within the crypto and AI markets.
Creative Writing
- Write periodically for corporate newsletters and podcasts, highlighting market trends and showcasing Ninepoint's expertise in digital assets and blockchain.
- Ninepoint will provide creative writing training and support.
Digital Marketing \& Social Media
- Learn digital marketing techniques to drive engagement and interest.
- Maintain an active presence on the Ninepoint Digital Asset Group social media accounts, specifically on X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn.
- Create engaging, data-driven marketing material that will be used to market the business and launch new fund products.
General Support
- Support the Digital Asset Group or Ninepoint as a firm in any way possible.
Candidate Requirements:
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experience, including the following:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, or related discipline. CSC and/or CFA designation (or working towards) is preferred.
Experience:
- 1 years of investment analysis experience, ideally within crypto, AI, or emerging technology-focused funds.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with traditional financial platforms like Bloomberg and FactSet, but also crypto-specific tools like Token Terminal, Dune Analytics, Glassnode, etc.
- Understanding of crypto markets, with knowledge of various blockchain networks and decentralized applications, is a major asset.
Competencies:
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal reporting and investor presentations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
