Purchasing Specialist Description
Our client is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join their team in Langley, British Columbia. In this role, you'll manage inventory, purchasing, and logistics to ensure efficiency and on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in purchasing and logistics, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector. Purchasing Specialist Responsibilities
• Oversee and execute the purchasing of materials
• Research and determine safety stock levels
• Contact and manage relationships with suppliers
• Issue purchase orders
• Run vendor management reports
• Maintain the company pricing structure and update as needed
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers
• Develop metrics for monitoring purchasing and supplier performance
• Collaborate with management on plan and inventory forecasting
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics
• Work closely with suppliers and carriers to optimize freight strategies
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies
Purchasing Specialist Qualifications
• 3+ years of purchasing/buyer experience required
• Industrial or manufacturing experience required
• Experience negotiating vendor pricing and managing contracts required
• Logistics knowledge/exposure required
• Must be hyper-organized and detail-oriented
