Works with the VP, Scotia Financial Planning to develop a clear vision and business strategy for the assigned market area, in support of strategic business objectives

Leads the execution of sales management strategies and initiatives through observational coaching of Regional Manager; providing insight and guidance in support of their business development activities

Creates an environment in which the team delivers quality advice and service with client-centric investment recommendations, and building strong relationships and partnerships with other leaders in the Bank

Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Creates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Post-secondary education in Business or related field

Fluency in French and English is an asset

Comfortable with frequent travel within the market area of Eastern Canada

5+ years of experience in the investment industry, with a strong preference for wealth management and/or brokerage experience

Expert sales management skills and advanced knowledge of sales techniques and prospecting

Proven networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others

Experience with external recruitment of sales professionals

Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external partners

Ability to establish and maintain a customer-focused sales culture, through expert knowledge of client experience drivers
