Job Description
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead WeShall's finance function and support our next phase of growth. Reporting to the Executive Chairman and Managing Director, the CFO will be a core member of the executive team and a key strategic partner in decision-making, financial governance, and investor relations. They will serve as a key member of the executive team and as the primary liaison between the firm and the portfolio companies on financial matters. The role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning and analysis, stakeholder communications, capital structuring, and financial governance across the portfolio. The CFO will lead a team across Finance, IT, and HR, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of operational finance expertise, strategic foresight, and inclusive leadership. They will be as comfortable building dashboards, developing business valuation models, and forecasting models as they are presenting to the Board and mentoring high-potential talent. Experience leading financial due diligence efforts will be important, along with a track record of mergers and acquisition work in PE-backed environments---particularly in capital raises, exit strategy planning, and integration of acquired businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of financial planning and analysis, reporting, and capital structure strategy
- Oversee internal controls, risk management, and financial compliance
- Manage investor relations and support capital raising and exit strategies
- Guide financial integration and performance oversight of portfolio companies
- Manage and mentor a small cross-functional team (Finance, HR, IT)
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support enterprise-wide growth initiatives
- Present financial insights to the Board and external stakeholders
- Lead financial diligence, valuation, and modelling for acquisitions, investments, and exits
What We're Looking For
- CPA, CA, or CMA designation (MBA is an asset)
- 10 years of senior financial leadership, ideally in PE-backed or high-growth environments
- Strong foundation in accounting, treasury, and financial controls
- Experience with M\&A, capital raises, and post-deal integration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Collaborative, pragmatic, and solution-oriented leadership style
- Commitment to integrity, accountability, and inclusive leadership
This role requires occasional travel.
