Main Duties:
- Coach housekeepers on cleaning, tidiness, hygiene standards, and maintenance tasks as well as day to day supervision of colleagues working in the department
- Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness
- Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
- Monitor and replenish cleaning products and place small orders for inventory in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper
- Conduct opening duties like room assignments, extra tasks, property walks
- Conduct closing duties like saving reports for passover and ensuring the front desk has what they need for guests checking in during the night
- Co-ordination of all aspects of the department's operation to ensure that the services of the Department are delivered to guests or internal customers with the aim of exceeding guest expectations and in accordance with Hyatt standards and procedures;
- Be aware of all VIP guests or regulars arriving and ensure that special attention is given;
- Anticipate guest's needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication with other associates;
- Handle guest queries and complaints with professionalism, concern and understanding according to Hotel standard. Communicate all comments and feedback from guests and staff;
- Provide a professional, advisory and support service to the Executive Housekeeper to assist in meeting the strategic goals and Guest Experience goal of the Housekeeping Department and Hotel
- Verify timecards for payroll in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper
- Monitor and review Brand Standards for the Department and ensure compliance
- Participate in large cleaning projects as required

Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of guests in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Ability to understand the service orders and requirements
- Ability to learn about cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, and cleaning sensitive materials
- Ability to learn how to operate cleaning equipment
- Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, pull, squat, kneel and bend
- Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)
- Ability to work in a team with integrity and confidentiality
- Previous housekeeping supervisory experience for a minimum 1 year in a mid-volume hotel/resort is required
- Proven ability to achieve goals \& KPI's
- Engaging customer service of a high standard
- Ability to coach and motivate team members
