Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in caregiving, particularly with seniors and individuals with disabilities. Your contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of those you support, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the client's bedtime routine, including personal care and diaper changes.
- Ensure the client is comfortable and settled for the night.
- Secure the home for the night (e.g., locking doors, turning off lights).
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the client.
Requirements:
- Valid PSW certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with elderly clients, particularly those requiring personal care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Ability to follow care plans and respect client privacy.
Schedule:
- Tuesday to Saturday, 7:30 PM--10:30PM
Location: Oakville, ON L6J (nearby candidates preferred).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
