Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Real Estate Legal Assistant located in North York, ON. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for preparing legal documents, assisting with law-related tasks, providing administrative support, and ensuring effective communication within the team. The role involves managing real estate transactions, maintaining client files, coordinating with external parties such as law firms and banks, scheduling appointments, and keeping track of important deadlines.
Qualifications/requirements:

Handling all aspects of residential real estate files- purchases, sales, mortgages, refinances and private mortgages

Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation and understanding of legal terminologies

Handling a high volume of files in an efficient and organized manner

Administrative Assistance skills including organization, scheduling, and multitasking

Performing title searches and off-title searches and reviewing titles

Ordering Title Insurance Policies

Proven experience as a Real Estate Legal Assistant

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

Preparing reporting letters and accounts to clients promptly following completion of files

Proficiency with MS Office and legal software systems (Soluno, Closer, Teraview)

Relevant certification or diploma in Legal Studies, Law Clerk, or related field
