About the Position:The Director, Social Media and Email Marketing, is a results-driven leader with a proven ability to craft and execute effective email and social media strategies. Reporting to the VP, Marketing and Communications, this role is essential in driving organizational growth through the development, execution, and optimization of impactful campaigns while leading and mentoring a team of marketing professionals. This dynamic position is ideal for an innovative marketer with a track record of delivering exceptional results through strategic email campaigns, engaging social media initiatives, and inspiring team performance.
The successful candidate must be available to work at the company's head office in Burlington, ON.Key Functions and Responsibilities:Develop and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies to drive engagement, conversions, and revenue growth. Create and manage impactful email journeys and automation workflows with measurable performance outcomes.Evaluate and recommend email marketing software and tools to enhance campaign effectiveness and efficiency. Conduct A/B testing and leverage data-driven insights to optimize email performance.
Ensure all email communications comply with CASL regulations and other relevant guidelines. Design and implement data-driven social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth across platforms. Oversee the creation of compelling, on-brand social media content in collaboration with the creative team.
Monitor trends and analyze performance metrics to refine and maximize social media impact. Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of marketing professionals. Collaborate with the Sales team to develop content that supports lead generation and client education.
Liaise with the creative team to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across email and social media channels. Track, analyze, and report on email and social media campaign effectiveness. Stay current with trends, tools, and best practices in email marketing and social media.
Identify and implement innovative approaches to enhance digital marketing strategies. Required Skills and Abilities:Demonstrated experience in email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or equivalent. Proven ability to assess current marketing operations and provide strategic recommendations.A strong commitment to analyzing campaign performance metrics to measure success.
Ability to collaborate with the design team to lead the creation of visually compelling graphics. A passion for staying ahead of industry trends in social media and email marketing. Strong understanding of SEO/SEM integration with social media and email efforts.
In-depth knowledge of key marketing concepts, including the sales funnel and buyer's journey. Experience in managing and optimizing paid social media campaigns. Advanced knowledge of data privacy laws such as CASL.Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing multiple campaigns simultaneously in dynamic environments. Proven ability to manage and inspire a team. Familiarity with the financial services or real estate sectors.
Demonstrated success in driving lead generation and measurable results. Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills. Education, Qualifications \& Experience:7-10 years of experience in email marketing and social media management.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism preferred.
