We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer (QE) with a strong background in backend testing, automation, and data validation. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality, has a keen eye for detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Must-Have Skills:
Excellent communication skills -- ability to clearly convey technical and non-technical information.
Hands-on experience with Python or another object-oriented programming language.
Strong SQL skills with a solid understanding of relational database concepts.
Experience with API testing and validation.
Proficiency in using GIT or other version control systems.
A strong automation mindset -- continuously looks for opportunities to automate repetitive tasks.
Some backend testing or development experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools for documentation and task tracking.
Familiarity with Tableau or other BI/reporting tools for data validation.
Experience in building or testing applications/APIs from scratch.
Exposure to frontend testing or knowledge of frontend frameworks.
Ability to perform data analysis to identify quality issues and trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement automated and manual test strategies for backend systems and APIs.
Validate data pipelines and database integrity through SQL and scripting.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure feature quality.
Participate in code reviews, test planning, and continuous integration/deployment processes.
Identify test gaps, maintain test documentation, and continuously improve test frameworks.
