The Opportunity:
ML6 is pleased to be partnering with a leading specialty ingredients provider in their search for a Human Resources Manager to join their team on a 15 month contract. This is a highly visible, executive-level role that will play a critical part in shaping the organization's culture, HR infrastructure, and strategic initiatives.
As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), you will drive HR strategy, ensure compliance, and support employee engagement, performance management, and workforce planning.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives, focusing on organizational structure, staffing needs, and talent retention.
- Implement and manage HR policies, ensuring compliance with Canadian and US labour laws and industry best practices.
- Lead initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture, improving employee engagement, morale, and retention.
- Oversee recruitment and selection processes, ensuring the hiring of diverse and qualified candidates.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary benchmarking and annual renewal processes.
- Develop and oversee performance management and employee recognition programs.
- Ensure HR administrative processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and data management, are maintained effectively.
- Lead the Joint Health and Safety Committee Meetings and oversee HSE initiatives.
- Organize and coordinate internal events such as quarterly Town Halls and employee engagement activities.
What You'll Need To Be Successful:
- Post-graduate education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a management or HR business partnership role.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, labour laws, and compliance regulations across Canada and the US.
- Proven experience in strategic HR leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex HR issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Experience managing HR software systems (HRIS, performance management tools) and analyzing HR data.
- M\&A integration experience is considered an asset.
